I don't own any of them, don't have that much time at hand to play games. If I had the option I would buy something new or upcoming, both PS3 and xbobx are pretty old now
I don't have an 360 or a PS3, but if I were going to get one, I'd get a 360. More people to play with online. Wii is fun too, but only if you are a casual gamer. Personally, I stick to PCs, but it's all about what you want.
The ps3 is better i think, firstly it is bigger and if you take black ps3 it looks prettier then xbox but xbox has better video quality of games and the form is very interesting, unusual. But ps3 is very expensive and the difference is not so big from ps3 and xbox it means better to take xbox as it cost 180$ but ps3 500 $
Well from what I have heard from friends , is that PS3 is much better that xBox so I would always go with PS3.
True, but you also need to look at online play. xBox has a much larger online community than PS3, so I guess it comes down to if you like playing games with other people.
Long answer: Price, performance, visual quality, game selection and online support. I think the XBOX 360 wins in every category.
Price: This is obvious; the XBOX 360 core is only $299. The PS3 is around $499 for the 20GB version. It comes with a hard drive, but you dont need a hard drive to enjoy a lot of great games on the 360 so I think its fair to compare both core systems.
Performance: On paper, the PS3 is more powerful. In reality, its quite inferior to the 360. Without getting into too many details, the three general-purpose CPUs the xbox360 has are currently FAR easier to take advantage of than the SPUs on the PS3. I suspect a few years down the road some high budget, first party PS3 exclusive titles will come out that really take advantage of the SPUs and do things the XBOX 360 cant, but I dont think the console is worth buying based on this speculation (for some it will be though, we'll have to wait and see how these games turn out
My husband has a PS3, and he's gone through every system they've released. I'm not a game fanatic, and honestly, the PS3 just seems like a slow and limited PC to me. I use to actually play the XBox with him, so I guess I have to say that's my preference.
